Is the mounting tape permanent?

I recently purchased a Nextech Adjustable universal cell, PDA or mobile device holder, model# 1710139. My concern is that if I mount the holder to my dash and at some later date want to remove the holder, will the mounting tape leave a residue on my dash that I won't be able to remove?
