Question
Is the power adapter part of the package?
I bought the NEXXTECH USB 7-PORT STANDING HUB at a local retail store but the package did not contain the advertised power adapter (only cables, requiring the use of 2 USB ports on the computer, thus reducing the effectiveness of the purchase). As per the attached picture, the product is shown with an adapter. The retail store was unable to clarify the situation; can you please shed some light on this issue?

i just wanted to say you don't get the pow adaptor the usb runs off of the computers usb port and that the power adaptor is a add on hope this helps answer your question :)

This hub comes with 1 standard USB A to B connection cable, and 1 USB to DC power cable. For general hub operation use with standard USB A to B connection cable only (utilizing only one USB port on your PC). For optional added power, connect both the standard USB A to B connection cable and the USB to DC power cable to hub. You will require two available USB ports when using the optional USB to DC power cable. Hope this helps to clear things up.

Question
7 port standing hub not working correctly
I have this 7 port standing hub , I've had the power adapter plugged in as well as the usb cord and firewire all together as well as on there in own but still i cannot power or sync my iPhone or power my wireless mouse or keyboard dongle. I have tried all the different combinations with no luck, any suggestions as to why it won't work?
