This wireless Rear Speaker Amplifier will work with any BRAVIA home theater system with S-AIR capabilities. It is not for use with other Sony Home Theatre systems that do not support S-AIR connections.

It won't eliminate the wiring from the front speakers.

This product eliminates the wiring that would normally run from the amplifier to the surround speakers (in a 5.1 setup), and/or the rear speakers (in a 7.1 setup).

So it eliminates the wiring from the front of the room to the back of the room. Instead, the main amplifer will use S-Air technology to wirelessly connect to the WAHT-SA20 amplifier (using the same frequencies as a wireless router).

Keep in mind that you will still need wiring from the WAHT-SA20 amplifer to the two speakers that are connected to it.
